Chiropractic Care

Chiropractic is a regulated healthcare profession focused on the assessment, diagnosis, treatment and management of musculoskeletal conditions.

Care typically involves hands-on techniques alongside rehabilitation exercises, movement advice and practical guidance tailored to the individual.

Chiropractors complete extensive university-level clinical training and must be registered with the General Chiropractic Council (GCC) to practise in the UK.

At Norfolk Chiropractic, care is evidence-informed and supported by continued professional development, helping patients receive safe, effective treatment based on current clinical knowledge and their individual needs.

What to Expect

Book Your Appointment & Complete Your Forms

Choose an appointment time that works for you and complete your new patient forms before you arrive. This gives us some useful background about your health, your current problem and what you would like help with, allowing us to make the most of your first appointment.

Consultation & First Treatment

Your first appointment begins with a detailed consultation to understand your symptoms, health history and what you would like to achieve. We will then carry out an appropriate physical examination to help establish what may be contributing to the problem.

Your findings will be discussed with you and, where appropriate, your first treatment can take place during this appointment.

Results & Second Treatment

At your next appointment, Jack will talk you through the findings from your assessment, explain what he believes is contributing to your problem and discuss his recommendations with you.

You will have the opportunity to ask questions and understand the options available before continuing with your second treatment.

Your Personal Plan & Ongoing Support

From there, your care is tailored to you, with progress regularly monitored against the goals we have identified together. Throughout your course of care, we’ll keep track of your progress and support you as you work towards those goals. Your plan may combine hands-on treatment, rehabilitation exercises, movement advice and lifestyle guidance, with each playing a role in helping you achieve the best possible outcome.

Treatment & Rehabilitation

There is no single approach that is right for everyone. Your care will be based on your assessment, what you want to achieve and the plan we have discussed together. Depending on your presentation, this may include a combination of hands-on treatment, soft tissue techniques, dry needling, rehabilitation exercises and practical advice.

Chiropractic & Manual Therapy

Hands-on treatment is at the heart of the care we provide. Depending on your assessment, this may include chiropractic adjustments, joint mobilisation and other manual techniques aimed at improving movement and function and reducing pain or stiffness.

We use a range of techniques and will explain the options available to you before treatment. Where appropriate, we may also use an Activator — a small handheld instrument that delivers a quick, controlled force to a specific area and provides an alternative to traditional manual adjustment techniques.

Soft Tissue Therapy

Muscles and other soft tissues can become tight, sensitive or overloaded alongside joint and movement problems. Soft tissue techniques may be used as part of your treatment to help reduce muscle tension and discomfort, improve movement and prepare the area for rehabilitation or exercise.

The techniques used will depend on what we find during your assessment and may be combined with joint treatment, movement and exercise as part of your overall plan.

Dry Needling & Electroacupuncture

Dry needling uses very fine, sterile needles which are inserted into specific areas of muscle or soft tissue. Where appropriate, we may also use electroacupuncture, where a gentle electrical current is applied through the needles to provide controlled stimulation to the treated area.

These techniques may be used alongside other forms of care where appropriate for your presentation. We will explain why they are being considered, what the treatment involves and the alternatives available before deciding together whether they form part of your care.

Rehabilitation & Exercise

Hands-on treatment is only one part of care. Rehabilitation and exercise can help you build strength, improve movement and increase your body's capacity to manage the activities and demands that are important to you.

Where appropriate, we'll provide exercises based on your assessment and goals, progressing them as you move through your plan. We may also provide advice around movement, activity, training or everyday habits to help you take an active role in your progress and support the improvements made through treatment.
